PRODUCT INFORMATION

A stunning canvas with outstanding clarity, detail, and lifetime colour vibrancy.

Canvas:

Finely textured 400gsm cotton canvas stretched over frame, finished by hand.

Frame:

Made from kiln-dried, sustainably sourced European pine. Finger-joints create corner tension, which resists warping. Internal corner system keeps corners neat and tidy, eliminating messy folds.
Depth from wall: 38mm

Artwork:

Printed with 12-colour Giclée process using water-based archival inks. "Museum-wrapped" (white edges) so entire composition is printed on canvas face.

Production:

Made-to-order in UK, EU, US, and AU. Please allow approx. 3-6 days for production, plus delivery.

Shipping:

Ships worldwide in corrugated cardboard box made from recycled materials.

Installation:

Canvases are meant to sit flush against the wall. The best method is to hang the canvas frame on two nails, each protruding 1/2" from the wall. Put these nails one third from each side of the canvas, at the same level.

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Fossil records show that beetles were abundant when dinosaurs roamed the Earth during the Mesozoic Era, roughly 200 million years ago. They make up the largest order in the animal kingdom, and the largest group of pollinating animals because of their sheer numbers. Some 77,000 different species of beetle are believed to visit nearly 90% of the world’s 350,000 flowering plant species. They are the primary pollen transporters for numerous plant families, including magnolias, paw-paws, water lilies, and spicebush. As such, they play a unique role in wild plant reproduction and food production. Pollination is one of many ecosystem services provided by beetles. Ladybird beetles, for example, play a major role in keeping down populations of insects that feed on plants, such as aphids, mites, mealybugs and leafhoppers. Owing to the benefits for farming, ladybird beetles are widely considered talismans of good luck. Avoid harmful chemicals. Plant pollinator habitat, conservation strips and cover crops, use mulch for weed control, and add compost and diverse plantings to arable lands. Listen to The Beetles!

Shopping for framed prints? The size listed does not include the width of the picture frame. Also, please note that mounted prints are slightly smaller than unmounted prints, because they must be scaled down to fit the mount window.
